Created in 2017, Rose Deeb Kitchen became an attorney despite many obstacles, including a culture that did not prioritize education—particularly in women, a divorce, and raising three children as a single parent. This award recognizes women in the Second Judicial Circuit who have overcome obstacles and hardship to become attorneys.


Catherine Chapman Pro Bono Service Award

Created in 2019, the Catherine Chapman Pro Bono Service Award will recognize a member of the Florida Bar Association who embodies the enduring commitment Ms. Chapman devoted to pro bono legal services and community involvement during her lifetime.
